So, with Impulse no longer being under Stardock's control, and with the introduction of the "new" download page, how are content updates going to be handled?

Will it just be a link on the download page? And will we be informed via e-mail and/or forums that a new beta/patch is available? Will updates be requiring uninstalls, or can we unzip updates directly to the FE folder?

Lots of questions, I know

Cheers from Morten

I imagine the beta, since it requires an internet connection, to update automatically.

Apparently the major patches will use a patch file which you run to update from the base.

Can't remember seeing that. Not saying "Link, or it didn't happen!" though. I must just have missed that bit of information.

And my question still stands with regards to how they intend to inform us about beta patches...and in the future updates to the finished game

Cheers

The best information you will get will be announcements in the forums and front page of the Elemental site.

I can live with that

What I would love, though, is an in-game "Check for updates" button. So please take that as a suggestion

I think it's safe to assume once its final release, it will be available on Stardock Central for updates.

Ok I thought that SDC had been discontinued? Honestly I wasn't aware that it had been re-instated as a download platform for Stardock products. Or is this still in the pipeline?

I vote for using Drengen.net for updates.  Old school...........

If you bought Stardock products directly from Stardock, follow this link to the new store & signin with your forum login & password (as long as they're the same ones you had when you made your purchases) & you'll see your account.

Great news. That one had really slipped under my radar.
